My day began at my waking up at the crack of noon. I schluped over to check my email and I was shocked to discover that the internet was dead. This perplexed me, and seeing as we had had our fair share of black outs recently, I knew that there was nothing I could do about it. I used this new found free time, to let the dog out of the bathroom (seeing as Bill started work yesterday), and then I made myself some food, and sat down to watch the VP debate from last night.
I had caught some of the debate before going to work, but I wanted to see Joe Biden slam Sarah Palin against a wall. I sat down and got ready for the slaughter. While Biden held his own, he spent too much time bashing McCain instead of talking about how he'd fix our country with Obama. Palin on the other hand was about as usefull as an ice salesman to eskimo's. She barely answered the questions, and she kept refering to herself as an "outsider" and a "maverick". I'm still curious as to what the fuck a "maverick" is? Although at this point in time, I think that the direct translation is "bat shit crazy!" instead of a wild card. Either way, the debate was funny to watch, but not as epic as I would have liked.
After the debate was over, I took a shower, and got ready to go pick up Joey from school. I put Belle back in the bathroom and bombed down to the school. When I picked Joey up, I suggested that we head over to Best Buy so I can look into getting some things for the iPhone, he was cool with coming with and off we went.
At Best Buy, I found a cool headphone extender for a few bucks, and a really heavy duty screen protector for more than a few bucks. Nothing else really suited my fancy, so I paid for the goods, and then Joe and I headed into the mall for drinks.
We got our thirst on at Wal-Mart, and then I sat down at a wi-fi hotspot so I could show Joe some of the iPhone features, as well as check my email because of the dead internet at home. After doing that for a few minutes, we had to get rolling because Joe had a football game to get to for band, and Marcus had called me to inquire if I wanted to do dinner.
I drove us back home, dropped Joey off, and headed down the hill to meet Marcus at Subway. We went inside, ordered our grub and ate. We talked about the upcoming SpikeTV Scream Awards that we had received a press invite for, and whether or not we were going. I told him about the job this weekend with JP and Kennedy. He offered his assistance, and when I told him that it was a 2 day gig, he had to withdraw his offer. We finished our subs, and then parted ways until he came back down to the drive-in later on to catch a flick.
I remembered that I still had to deposit my paycheck, so I wandered across the parking lot to my bank. As I was approaching the front door this guy in a suit stopped me and asked if he could interview me for the Channel 10 news. Apparently the bank had been robbed a few days earlier, and he laughed when my response was "Again????" The reason they wanted an interview was because the robber had come from a town about 35 miles north, and was a mortage broker. They wanted to know what I thought about that. I told them that it was crazy, and that it was a sign of the times. When they asked my opinion on the newly passed $770 billion bailout that had passed, I simply made the reference that it was like giving a bad gambler more money to play with and just hoping for the best. Right after that the interview was done, and they told me when it would be on the air. The reporter thanked me, and went about his business. I walked in the bank to drop off my money.
Back at home, I hung out for about another 30 minutes and then I had to get ready for work.
When I pulled into the parking lot of the drive-in, I saw that we had a good amount of cars wanting to come in. We didn't waste any time in getting the place opened up, and just like I had thought, most of the people were there to see BEVERLY HILLS CHIHUAHUA. I parked a few cars and hung out until the movies started.
The night went by pretty quickly. We had a bit of drama when Will told Bob and I that Ray had threatened to have him fired. This sent Annette into a fury, and she brought Beth with her. I was unsure of how exactly to handle the situation, because I knew what I wanted to do, and I knew what I was limited in doing. We decided that Bob would talk the owner about it, and see what could be done...but I knew exactly what would come from it. Nothing.
When the movies ended, I finished cleaning the place up, locked up, and went home.
I didn't do much else besides play around online until I got sleepy. This feeling resulted in me going night night.
